长城宽带网络服务有限公司（以下简称"长城宽带"）成立于2000年4月，是由长城科技股份有限公司（H 股上市公司）、中国长城计算机深圳股份有限公司（A股上市公司）、深圳长城开发科技股份有限公司（A股上市公司）联合投资设立的高科技网络公司，注册资金1亿元人民币。2002年5月，中国中信集团公司以50%参股方式入资长城宽带，公司注册资本增至6亿元人民币。2005年8月，长城集团并入中国电子信息产业集团，长城宽带在中国电子信息产业集团和中国中信集团两大股东强有力支持下，公司实力得到进一步增强。长城宽带公司总部设在北京，在全国33个城市下设分子公司。
在信息化革命浪潮席卷全球之际，长城宽带以新世纪高科技发展为契机，致力于以新一代以太网技术为基础的宽带网络建设。经过六年多的发展，长城宽带已经成为全国最大的非基础电信运营商。截止到2005年底，长城宽带拥有覆盖全国80%城市以上的"奔腾1号"骨干网资源的支持，并建成了覆盖全国33个大中城市的宽带网络，覆盖家庭及单位客户达500万户，投资规模逾百亿元。

Great Wall Broadband Network Service Co., Ltd. (GWBN) was founded in April 2000, jointly invested by Great Wall Technology Co., Ltd. (H stock listed company), China Shenzhen Great Wall Computer Co., Ltd. (A stock listed) and Shenzhen Great Wall Kaifa Technology Co., Ltd. (A stock listed). The company's original registered capital is RMB100 million. After China International Trust Investment Company (CITIC)'s purchase of 50% of the company's stock in May 2002, that amount increased to RMB600 million. Great Wall Group merged with China Electronics Corporation (CEC) in August 2005, thereafter, with the help and support from both CEC and CITIC, GBWN's fundamentals have been significantly enhanced.
Headquartered in Beijing , GWBN has 29 branches and 15 subsidiaries all around China . By the end of 2005, GWBN has obtained the support from the "Pentium One" backbone network which covers more than 80% of Chinese cities, and has spread its broadband network into 33 large and medium sized Chinese cities, possessing more than 5 million network users, with approximate total investment of more than RMB10 billion. With more than six years' development, GWBN has become the largest residential network operator in China and obtained the National Internet Bar License for chain operation across China .
While the global information revolution is prevailing, GWBN avails herself of this opportunity and devotes herself to the Ethernet-based broadband network construction.
As a domestic stationed network operator with great influence and huge development potential, GWBN has been obtaining abundant support from the Chinese governments, which in turn becomes the propellant for us to better serve our customers.
我们的历程
·2000年4月3日，长城宽带网络服务有限公司正式成立。
·2000年10月，长城宽带参加第二届深圳高交会，成为展会亮点。此后，长城宽带在业内受到高度关注，被誉为中国推行互联网宽带服务的先行者。
·2001年5月，长城宽带第一个宽带社区开通运营。
·2002年5月，中国中信集团公司入资长城宽带，公司注册资本由1亿元人民币增为6亿元人民币。
·2003年5月15日，长城宽带获得中华人民共和国文化部批准，在全国开展"长城网络文化家园"全国性互联网上网服务经营场所连锁经营。
·2003年7月，长城宽带与中国联通召开新闻发布会，共同宣布结成战略合作伙伴。之后，长城宽带和更多的基础电信运营商达成深层次合作。
·2005年8月2日，国务院国有资产管理委员会公告：中国长城计算机集团公司并入中国电子信息产业集团公司。长城宽带的股东实力增强，长城宽带的发展有了更大的潜力和动力。
·2005年，长城宽带将2005年定为"长宽末端服务战略年"，预示长城宽带从宽带接入服务提供商向综合信息服务提供商全面转型
